Coronavirus: All Masses to Be Closed to the Public Until Further Notice
In response to local authorities’ rules and suggestions, Bishop Sullivan has suspended public access to all Masses within the Diocese of Camden effective Wednesday, March 18th, 2020. Mass will still be celebrated at St. Damien Parish and all intentions will be offered, but they will all be closed off to the public. This will continue until further notice. Coronavirus: Events Being Postponed or Cancelled at St. Damien Parish
In response to the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus, St. Damien Parish will be canceling certain events and large gatherings for the safety and well-being of our parishioners. This list will continue to update if/when new events are canceled. We apologize for any inconveniences these cancellations cause. Coronavirus: Bishop Sullivan Dispenses Catholics from Sunday Mass Obligation
In response to the recommendations of civic authorities, and regional and national health experts, I have decided to temporarily dispense all Catholics within the Diocese of Camden from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass. Those who are concerned that attending Mass may compromise their health and those currently suffering illness are not obliged to attend Mass until they are in good health.
