Blessing of the Sea

St. Damien Parish is excited to once again hold the Blessing of the Sea to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption on August 15th. Following the Mass, we will process to the beach where our pastor, Fr. Tom Newton, will get into a lifeguard boat and toss a ring-shaped wreath of flowers into the water to symbolize the wedding of the Church with the sea. All are invited to this special celebration.
